"Arabidecool is an expertly managed estate located on the Karnataka Plateau in Southern India. The farm exemplifies the full spirit and intention of RFA certification. Yes a commercial farm, but also healthy biosphere under an impressive canopy of old growth trees. A home to blue parrots, snakes, monkeys, and a host of other critters who are tolerated despite their appetite for ripe cherries. There are many scenic coffee farms in the world, but of the ones we’ve visited, Arabidecool would surely make a short list of the most beautiful. Oh, and the coffee: its exceptionally clean, mellow, balanced acidity and caramel sweetness make it very versatile—- light or dark, drip or espresso, straight or blended, we think you’ll love roasting and working with this coffee from Arabidecool."
- Bob Fulmer Cofounder & President of Royal Coffee Importers
India RFA Arabidecool Estate is sourced from the Arabidecool Estate located near the Baba Budangiri hills in the Western Ghats mountain range within the state of Karnataka, India. In the Baba Budangiri hills there is a shrine for Baba Budan, the Sufi saint who first cultivated coffee in India with seven raw beans from Mocha that he brought from his pilgrimage to Mecca in the 17th century. The Baba Budangiri hills are also home to the Neelakurinji flower, which only blooms every twelve years. The Arabidecool Estate covers 142 hectares with a distinct micro- climate that is reflected in the cup profile.
